Cycle for charity

Dr. Brian McCloskey, Sister Rowan Grieves and others from the Royal Victoria’s Intensive Care Unit have launched an all-Ireland charity initiative, ICU 4 U, to raise money for those most affected by the Covid-19 crisis.

ICU doctors, nurses and staff across the island of Ireland will cycle to Dublin over two days on September 3rd and 4th to raise €100,000 for Alone (older people), Breakthrough Cancer Research (new cancer treatments), Aware (mental health) and ICU steps (ICU patient aftercare support).

Several high-profile ambassadors have come on board to help promote the charity initiative, including Dame Mary Peters, TV celebrity Graham Norton and champion Olympic rower Paul O’Donovan.
