It’s too Late. Luke 16:19-31
We almost feel sorry for the rich man in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. Almost. Then you think of poor Lazarus, covered with sores, hoping for just a crumb of food. All he got was the dogs who came to lick his sores. The following is a prayer which might help us see the ‘Lazaruses’ in our lives.
Dear God, it is so easy to ignore people we would rather not deal with.
Give me the grace to notice the forgotten and the ignored,
especially the elderly and the homeless.
If I can do anything to brighten their day, let me have the courage to do it.
Help me to see the unseen. Amen
